Project Scope
The scope of this project was to revamp and redesign the existing Crude Heater to accomplish the following:
- Eliminate the existing Heat Recovery Boiler
- Reuse as much existing equipment as possible
- Add new Air Preheat System to Furnace
- Replace existing burners with Low NOx Burners
- Increase Furnace Capacity to meet future 30,000 BPD case
- Maximize overall unit fuel efficiency
- Replace all tubes which had been deemed to be below required wall thickness
